Vacuum Furnaces
Orchid Bio-Vac has vacuum furnaces that are dedicated to titanium implants and separate furnaces that dedicated to cobalt chrome (F-75) implants.
Regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration is vital to controlling exact temperature, time and vacuum parameters.
Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)
Orchid Bio-Vac provides hot isostatic pressing (HIP) treatment to densify castings prior to solution anneal heat treatment.
Heat treatment
Orchid Bio-Vac provides titanium heat treatment cycles such as BUS, STA, and anneal. Solution Anneal of cobalt chrome (ASTM F-75) is also provided
Set Up
Fixturing used to set-up implants for thermal processing is critical for maintaining implant brightness and preventing distortion. Orchid Bio-Vac has 21 years of experience with fixturing materials and their applications.
In-process Inspection
At Orchid Bio-Vac, we just don't talk about quality, we produce it. Inspection before sintering and after is critical for continuous feedback and improvement in our coating process.
Mass Spectrometer
Our helium mass spectrometer is capable of detecting small leaks in a vacuum furnace and pinpointing the exact location. Periodic leak checks are another critical part of our process.
