2005: Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is formed when Churchill Equity Partners of Minneapolis, MN acquires majority ownership of Stealth Medical Technologies, a provider of near-net forged and porous coated implants in Holt, MI and Memphis, TN; Unique Instruments, a medical instrument manufacturer in Bridgeport, MI; and Unique Design, an orthopedic design services firm in Shelton, CT.
2005: Orchid Orthopedic
Solutions acquires Bio-Vac and Bio-Coat, medical coating companies
in Southfield, MI.
2006: All divisions of Orchid Orthopedic Solutions change their designations to include the Orchid name:
Orchid Bio-Coat: HA, TPS, RBM surface treatments
Orchid Bio-Vac: Porous coating
Orchid Design: Contract design
Orchid Stealth: Forging
Orchid Stealth Coating: Porous coating
Orchid Unique: Instrument and implant machining
2006: Orchid Orthopedic
Solutions acquires MACDEE, a provider of precision machined
and molded plastic products to the medical and industrial markets,
and changes designation to Orchid MACDEE.
2007: Orchid
Orthopedic Solutions acquires the Anzon Company, Keller Engineering,
and Micro Precision Swiss, adding Orchid Anzon, Orchid Keller,
and Orchid MPS to its already impressive group of resources.
2008: Orchid acquires Azary Technologies, LLC, boosting Orchid's capabilities in quality system development and regulatory services.
